“I could not be happier with how my home came out! Anytime someone is over my house they get inspired and want to redo their home! The process was seamless, the team was patient, creative and so transparent along the way which I really appreciated. 10/10 would recommend!”
“2 1/2 years in our home (that MRC completely renovated from head to toe) and we still just stop and stare from all different vantage points around the house to admire all of the details and beautiful craftsmanship! Mike, Ellie and team truly brought our dream home to life!”
“Working with Ellie was amazing. She seamlessly transitioned from residential design to commercial gym design, and the results were awesome. Her ability to take her clients vision (or in our case lack thereof) and then transform the space into exactly what we wanted was priceless.”
“I really loved working with everyone at emd. From concept to completion, emd walked me through the whole process, set my expectations and delivered. They truly are a team! What impressed me most was how they handled and scheduled delivery of all my items. I knew what items were being delivered on what dates, and not once were there any hiccups.”
“The design experience started with a wishlist and inspiration boards that they asked you to post to a Pinterest account you were assigned. Here the team members could get an idea of the direction you were seeking. It was very clear that Ellie and her team were there to guide you and provide suggestions but ultimately to make your dream a reality.”

“Ellie & Team went above and beyond in all aspects of our exterior renovation. We were blown away by the vision they had for our home, and the end result was better than we had imagined. We appreciated the clear communication, organized meetings, attention to detail, creative ideas, and friendly staff - to name a few. Can’t wait to use the team again for a future project.”
“Ellie was a pleasure to work with. She helped up update our home to a more modern feel while still incorporating a few of our favorite antique pieces. Not only did she pick out gorgeous pieces of furniture, she also styled our home to perfection! She is incredibly creative, knowledgable and patient and I highly recommend her. I definitely plan to work with her again in the future!”
“Ellie Mroz Design is an exceptionally talented group of designers who listened attentively to my desires and provided many choices of furnishings that fit my style and budget. They were approachable, responded immediately to my comments and welcomed both my positive and negative reactions to their suggested selections. I felt seen and heard.
My family loves living in our newly designed home. Thank you EMD!”
"Working with Ellie & her team was truly a dream come true. The whole process from start to finish was stress free and fun! She has the coolest style and taste of any interior designer today and she and her team are extremely professional and easy to work with. She transformed my front entryway and family room and we are excited to work with her again this year on our dining room and living room. I cannot recommend her enough!"
“Finding Ellie was like finding that special gem. She helped us transform our family room into the room we have always wanted. We described our dream and Ellie made it a reality! When it came to our dining room, she transformed the space into a magical place. I am so excited to host holidays and entertain in our gorgeous room! Again Ellie made the impossible possible! “I can’t say enough wonderful things about working with Ellie Mroz and her amazing team. Not only do they have incredible taste, all of the resources, and keep super organized, but they also made the design process so fun and so fast. And when we had some manufacturer errors, because it’s simply inevitable, they took care of everything so quickly and made sure everything was perfect and as intended. I love their work, I love their team and am searching for more projects around the house so I can hire them again ASAP!”
“It was time for an exterior renovation, my center hall colonial was stuck in the eighties. So, I would drive around town looking at homes and what I might want to do with my house. As it turned out, all the homes I picked out, that I loved, that were so perfect in every way - they were all EMD designed homes. So, I made an appointment....They did it all, managed all the details, were super responsive, they obsessed over the design details to get them just right and managed the entire project so well. I feel so lucky to have such a beautiful home.”
“Ellie was a pleasure to work with in the process of designing our dream home. She took the time to understand our style and taste while having to work with current furniture and apply that to a new space. I loved her constant creativity and ideas. She was able to work well with clients like ourselves who have a strong style and know what they want! Ellie’s design and style is beautiful, modern, simple, clean and perfect to the eye. She’s able to make a house come together effortlessly while not losing a clients taste and opinions. We couldn’t be happier with our beautiful home!!”
“I recently worked with Ellie on decorating my entry and adding a few pieces to my living room and I love how they turned out. Ellie has great style and was terrific to work with. She found beautiful pieces for both rooms and made the process painless. She went above and beyond, even rushing to my house when she was technically on vacation this summer because a carpet stair runner was being installed and the installer had a question about how we wanted it. I'm so glad I trusted Ellie's skill and great eye because I love the result. I've recommended her to several friends and will definitely call on her for other rooms in the future.”
“I hired Ellie to design my two college age boys bedrooms in my house. From the start she was incredibly professional as far as gathering information and presenting me with designs of how the rooms will look. She created two very unique and creative spaces based on their tastes while making sure I was happy too. She really listened to my input and honored my timeframes and my budgets. Ellie also knew it was challenging with me as far as time so she made sure to take care of arranging everything so I didn't have to worry. She is an incredible decorator and amazing to work with. I loved every minute & can't wait to work with her again.”
“We had interviewed a few designers and did not feel comfortable with them. A friend recommended Ellie Mroz Design. We could not be happier with our decision. The team is incredibly professional, very good at what they do, efficient and incredibly personable to deal with. It was a pleasure to deal with them. They adhere to the budget set, they source incredibly well priced quality items and even advised us that we did not need certain items. Something you rarely hear. Integrity, honesty and professionalism are very hard qualities to find. However, I can vouch that this was our experience with the team. I could not recommend them highly enough.”
“I have had the pleasure of working with Ellie over the past two years, first on decorating my dining room, then on updating the exterior of my house. Ellie is wonderful to work with. She is friendly, professional and knowledgeable. She understands my taste and is always able to add interesting elements and ideas to pull the project together. The rooms Ellie has helped me to decorate are my favorite in the house. She helped transform the outside and changed it from just another house on the street to a home that stands out. Choosing an updated paint color combination and adding a couple of small touches made a big difference. I have recommended Ellie to friends in the past and hope to continue working with her in the future!”
“EMD did it again! My EMD story: It was time for an exterior renovation, my center hall colonial was stuck in the eighties. So, I would drive around town looking at homes and what I might want to do with my house. As it turned out, all the homes I picked out, that I loved, that were so perfect in every way - they were all EMD designed homes. So, I made an appointment, we got together, and I asked Ellie and team to come back with what they would do with the house, they shared drawings and material selections, I loved it all so then we built it. It was that easy. They did it all, managed all the details, were super responsive, they obsessed over the design details to get them just right and managed the entire project so well. I feel so lucky to have such a beautiful home. Thank you EMD!”
“The best quality of working with Ellie is her patience. I never feel pressured to make a decision and she's very understanding, kind and patient with my opinions and timeline for projects. She is always accessible and by using a privately shared pinterest board, we were able to easily communicate and decide on the best options for each room. Communicating via pinterest allowed us the freedom to work individually, while simultaneously collaborating, so that one could pick up where the other left off. I have more than a few favorite things that she picked for us, but the two that stand out the most is the artwork in the dining room, Love and Light, by Ricardo Roig and the photo Gallery wall in the foyer.
I would absolutely recommend Ellie Mroz, in fact, already have and plan to work with her in the future.”
“One day I was at a friends house admiring her newly redecorated dining room. When she told me about her designer (Ellie) I knew I had to have her! Ellie has helped me to find the perfect furniture for a round room within my kitchen which was not easy to design because of the shape of the room and because I wanted something more modern in a traditional kitchen! She nailed it! There were times that I wanted to "just pick something" and Ellie would not let me settle until she knew it was the perfect choice that I loved and wishing my budget!! Next was a runner for my steps leading up to the bedrooms. The vendor Ellie worked with was excellent and their installers top notch. She is also helping me with accent pieces throughout my home including tables, rugs, pillows. I highly recommend her services if you are looking for someone creative, patient, honest and sweet as can be!!”
“We used EMD for the design portion of our renovation project, which mainly involved remodeling our kitchen, dining room, the design of 2 bathrooms, and lighting. We could not be happier with the experience. They turned what could have been an overwhelming process into one that was enjoyable and efficient....EMD worked within our budget while still helping us achieve a beautiful end result. They carefully listened to our feedback, incorporated our preferences, and consistently brought fresh ideas and options. We especially appreciated that they not only respected our vision but also encouraged us to consider choices we would not have explored on our own - and many of these suggestions became some of our favorite elements of the project. If you are also working with Michael Robert Construction, using EMD makes the entire process seamless across design and construction teams. We highly recommend EMD to anyone looking for professional guidance, creative expertise, and a stress-free design experience.”
“We bought an open floor plan home and the thought of doing everything myself was so daunting. I couldn’t figure out how to make everything flow and where to even begin.
From the first conversation with Lisa S I knew I was in excellent hands. She listened to what I was looking for, and answered any and all questions that I had. She relayed my budget to the team and they kept to it without ever pressuring me to spend more than I was comfortable with. They worked around me.
Lisa T and Bridget immediately knew what to do with my space. They understood my style and how I worked. They listened to what was important to me and ensured I was happy with all of the decisions we were making every step of the way. They are confident and decisive (two things I am not) but also empowered me to make decisions. They helped turn our house into a home and every time I walk in my front door I can’t believe it is mine.
Ellie is so wonderful and communicative and really cares about her team and her clients. She is always there to help. Every vendor the EMD team works with (paint/runners/window treatments etc) are professional perfectionists. They are all kind and so respectful of your house. And they love working with the EMD team. They all truly go above and beyond.
I cannot recommend EMD enough! They are wonderful people, and insanely talented!”
“We recently completed a seven-month whole-home renovation and addition, and we cannot recommend the EMD team highly enough. From our very first meeting through the final installation of furnishings and finishing touches, their talent, professionalism, and incredible attention to detail exceeded every expectation.
What truly sets EMD apart is their remarkable sense of style and design. They took the time to understand how our family lives and translated our vision into a home that is not only beautiful, but also warm, functional, and uniquely ours. Their taste is exceptional, and they consistently introduced ideas, materials, and furnishings that elevated every space beyond what we could have imagined on our own.
Renovating and expanding a home that is more than 100 years old inevitably comes with challenges, but EMD guided us through every step of the process with confidence and ease. They were thoughtful, organized, responsive, and always focused on finding solutions. Most importantly, they made what could have been a stressful experience feel exciting and enjoyable. The quality of the finished result speaks for itself. Every room feels intentional, cohesive, and beautifully curated. The furnishings, finishes, and design details create a home that feels both sophisticated and comfortable, and we continue to discover elements that we appreciate more each day.
The seamless collaboration between EMD and the MRC team was also exceptional. Their close partnership created a truly integrated design-build experience, ensuring that every decision was thoughtfully coordinated and executed to the highest standard.
We are absolutely thrilled with our home and incredibly grateful to the entire EMD team for their creativity, expertise, and dedication throughout the process. If you are looking for a design team with impeccable taste that genuinely cares about its clients and the outcome of every project, EMD is simply outstanding.”
